THE KIMBERLEY:
Starting from Alice Springs, we head north to Katherine where we combine walking and cruising to explore this age-old gorge system. We visit Keep River National Park, Lake Argyle and Kununurra whilst looking around the Ord River irrigation scheme.
The Gibb River Road leads us to Windjana Gorge & Tunnel Creek beyond which we discover Derby, Broome and Geikie Gorge where we cruise on the mighty Fitzroy River. Next we make a bee-line for Purnululu National Park (The Bungles), with a three night stop, giving us plenty of time to relax.
As we leave the Kimberley region we travel the Tanami Track, visiting the Wolfe Creek meteorite crater before heading to Alice Springs.
For a good look at where we go please see the best of our Kimberley photos.
