KAKADU & TOP END:
A combination of natural beauty and indigenous culture permeate this tour of the Top End. Bird watching on river cruises, bathing in escarpment rock pools and bushwalking - a magical mix of pursuits in the Northern Territory.
Walking and boating in Katherine Gorge kick off this journey north towards Kakadu National Park. During our six night stay there we visit Nourlangie Rock, Yellow Waters Lagoon, Ubirr Rock and Waterfall Creek. From there we travel north into Arnhem Land to explore the Gurig National Park on the tip of the Cobourg Peninsula before going back to Darwin.
Heading south we travel through Litchfield National Park & stop at Douglas Hot Springs to walk and swim in Butterfly Gorge. En route to Alice we detour off the Stuart Highway into the Davenport Ranges, home of the Devils Marbles and our resting place for the last two nights of the tour.
