THE PILBARA: This tour is a great opportunity to explore an area of Western Australia in which few operators travel and is a new addition to our programme. Leaving Adelaide we head directly north to Woomera to learn about Len Beadell, before we cross on the Great Central Road into WA. We head for Mt Augustus and the Kennedy Range National Parks in the Gascoyne Region, where we get to do some great walking. From there we head for the coast and Ningaloo Reef marine park. At Coral Bay we go on a day trip to take in the wonders of this natural heritage area. The Pilbara areas itself promises great day hikes such as those we take in the national parks of Millstream, Chichester and Karajini. The journey back to Adelaide is an exploration in itself with a trip across the Nullarbor on the India Pacific railway.
